SNOW DAY

One would think this would be the perfect day to create. I know I would think that. Nope...not happening today because

Yes, I am babysitting. Originally planned for one night but due to the snowstorm it is a 2 night stay. EEK! Let me say this - It is snowing something fierce here. This will not be the best of days but I will strive to survive!

Diesel does not come to visit all that often. He has never stayed overnight so it is not his fault. I did my best to make him comfortable and he had his wire apartment in our bedroom but he would not go inside. I finally had to pick him up and close the door (something I don't think happens in his home) so that I could get some sleep. I don't think he slept. He was crying in the middle of the night. SIGH I can tell you that I only had about 5 hours of sleep. Not enough for this old woman! haha

We got up at 4:30 and yes, my husband had left for work. I couldn't believe he had gone to work. He called at 6 am and made it. He has an hour commute. Crazy. He should have stayed home. I'll be quiet about that now.

I fed the dog and took him out (for the 2nd time and I hate bundling up with boots and hats and stuff) and I decided I needed to shovel a path for us to get in and out this morning. We have a ton of snow already. A good six inches. It is going to be a long day.

I will wait to snow blow the driveway until at least 2 or 3 pm today. Unfortunately I will have to put the granddog in his wire apartment. I can't operate heavy machinery and watch a dog at the same time. I hate wire apartments even though I know that ultimately dogs feel safe.

I guess the Kindle, the computer, food and quilting magazines will have to occupy my day. The dog is quiet right now and sleeping on the floor. I'm sure he is exhausted. I know I am.

Stay warm and toasty today.

  1. Oh Debbie!! So sorry to giggle at your circumstances, but....
We have a fenced in back yard, but I well remember when we didn't and had a dog to walk!! :) So, enjoy your Kindle, computer, some good food and quilting mags! :) We are on our 3rd snow day out of school and I hope to be doing binding. Hugs and Love!
