The decorations were hung by the chimney with care

Last night we went to our friend's home at the lake. I decided at the end of summer that we were all going to make an effort to get together once a month during the winter so that we can all stay connected. There are 3 couples and we've been friends for 30 plus years. I hosted the first dinner in October and we skipped November because we were had travel to one place or another.

It was lovely last night. The food was fabulous and the chatter lively. Our friends became grandparents at the end of October and son, partner and baby came for dinner also. We were all excited to see the baby. She is so cute. I gave the quilt I made to them last night and they seemed to really like it. Hope so.

So I was inspired to get my trees decorated this morning. Hubby helped me out a bit with filler balls to make things look a little better. They look okay but not like they usually do. I'm opting for the less is more theory this year!!!

This is the big tree on our porch. Another fine photography moment by Debbie!!!

This is the tree in our den. I like to have a tree in there when I watch all the Christmas movies, which is a big guilty pleasure of mine. It makes me feel warm and cozy. :)

I need a tree topper and a skirt for this particular tree. I will have to work on that this week! I'm not sure Clinton Kelly would approve but he's not here to help me! Darn it all!!! :)

All for now. Trying to decide what to do during the football hours this afternoon. I have options but I need to get the motivation. I'm going to work on that motivation. Right now!!! :)

Have a great day.
